Apple Tree: Malus Domestica: Granny Smith
£30.00
A very well known apple tree variety ‘Granny Smith’ is a bright yellow-green dessert apple. A good reliable and heavy cropper given a hot summer. The fruit is crisp and firm with refreshing white flesh at its best in season. It can be acidic in taste but its distinctive flavours make it an attractive eating apple. In spring it produces a white-pink flower blossom. It crops from October onwards with medium sized to larger fruits depending on the season. It is self fertile but can be classed in pollinator group 3, as it benefits heavily from other pollinators for better crops. It is a hardy tree and if possible a spot with full and some sheltering is ideal.
