Betula pendula is a medium-sized, deciduous tree. Get a Silver birch tree today. It’s has a recognisable, white bark, that becomes marked with dark, rugged cracks at the base as the tree matures.It also has an elegant appearance and airy, open structure with ascending branches that gently weep towards the ends.These branches bear light green, diamond-shaped leaves and brown/yellow catkins in spring. The leaves turn yellow in autumn.
Reaching a mature height of 20m, Betula pendula is ideal for gardens, verges, parks, and urban areas.
Tolerant of a variety of soil types, plant in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-draining soil.
