£8.99
Blackcurrant ‘Ben Lomond’
A blackcurrant for culinary or dessert use, to 1.5m in height. Flowers insignificant, pale green; fruit black, mid to late season.
Blackcurrant that is very productive. This variety originates from Scotland where they are famous for ripening in the rain.
Very easy to grow the main problem is protecting them from the birds.
Nets or cages work well, also if you plant close to the house this can deter them somewhat. We recommend 1.5-1.8m spacing between plants.
