Hornbeam – Carpinus are deciduous native hedger that bears oval, prominently veined, dark green leaves that turn yellow and orange in autumn, it does hold onto some of the golden brown foliage through the winter, new leaves come through in spring they will fall off. Carpinus can withstand damper soil and in sun or part shade.
