Magnolia can be deciduous or evergreen trees or shrubs, with large, showy, often fragrant flowers, often opening before the leaves, and sometimes followed by colourful cone-like fruit. Grow in moist but well drained neutral to acid soil in full sun or light shade with shelter from cold winds. Late frost may damage the flower buds.

This large bush has a spreading habit and a well-branched architecture that further enhances the spectacular flowering. It appreciates soils that do not dry out too much in summer and will thrive both in full sun and partial shade. Hardy, it should nevertheless be planted in a sheltered spot to protect its beautiful flowers.

Make instead hedging and screening , can be re potted into a bigger pot or into the ground
