Yulan Magnolia, Lily Tree height 100 – 125cm
A recent cultivar of Magnolia denudata or Yulan Magnolia. Early in spring, it is adorned with magnificent tulip-shaped flowers, of a beautiful soft pink, reaching up to 15 cm (5.9 in) in diameter. This large bush has a spreading habit and a well-branched architecture that further enhances the spectacular flowering. A plant for neutral to acidic soil, it appreciates soils that do not dry out too much in summer and will thrive both in full sun and partial shade. Hardy, it should nevertheless be planted in a sheltered spot to protect its beautiful flowers.
