Come March, the bright cheerful flowers will start to shrivel and turn brown. I will have to replace them with… cute “Mimosa” cakes that Italian bakeries make for the International Women’s Day, March 8. Their cream-filled dome-shaped base is covered with yellow sponge crumbs resembling scattered mimosa flowers. This wonderful mimosa plant has luscisous green and purple tinted foliage and complemented by yellow scented pom pom type flowers in late spring and early summer.
