Prunus Cistena – Flowering Cherry

This flowering cherry is a fully hardy slow growing deciduous tree, It bares striking contrasting coloured flowers of pink-white on deep purple-red foliage in spring. The foliage goes from a deep purple in spring into a brighter more vivid purple in summer. Finally during autumn it gains a bronze hue before dropping its leave. A great addition to your garden with fragrance and great for pollinators. It is easy to grow and a low maintenance for a specimen tree, It ideally likes a sheltered but sunny position.
